Santa Cruz was not on my list of places to go in Bolivia. But, it has become a central City in terms of transportation so I had a layover there between flights.
Basically, I was right, there is no good reason to go to Santa Cruz. It seems to be a city that has developed quickly without much thought of infrastructure.
The airport, the only real reason to go to Santa Cruz is all right, next time I won't stay unless i need to.
The one interesting thing about Santa Cruz is the market. All Bolivian Cities seem to have a main market. In the market you can get everything from breakfast to fresh fruit or a cut of beef, and usually they have a section where you can buy any sorts of consumer goods. Well the market in Santa Cruz has grown to cover about a 8 block radius. It is crazy, it takes forever to get in or out. every section of the market covers about a block. So there is bra street and shoe street. They never thought to create a second market so people didn't have to fight through such craziness...
Eh!
Just wanted to drop you a note to say Hi. I've been following the "Chronicles de Kent" and it seems like you're really puttin' on some miles [both foot travel and air travel]. Any idea how many so far?
The Flames "bandwagon" is structurally impressive, with all the hordes of people jumping on it lately. Other than that, there is no news worth talking about in all of Canada right now.
Take care, and bring me back an Alpaca. :-)

Hey Kent!
Just thought you should know that the Flames have won the Western Final and are on their way to the Stanley Cup! What a year to leave Calgary! It is not like this happens every year!
Hope that all is well!
